Dua lipa is a British singer/songwriter born August 22, 1995 in London. Dua Lipa signed with Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as a model. The label released her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album reached the top 3 spot in the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. They included Be the One I.D.G.A.F The U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 single New Rules. Lipa received an award at the Brit Awards in 2018 as a British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act and her album has been certified as platinum in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on 22 August 1995. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. It is possible to trace her ancestors all the way back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. Lipa's grandparents were both historians. She is the sister of Rina Lipa, and has a younger brother named Gjin. Her father, a guitar player and singer in the Kosovan the band Oda has influenced her in music.
