Coleman is Lancashire-born. She graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she received straight A grades at all A-levels. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale character she replied that it is regrettable not to have experienced a more traditional college experience. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was a member of a theater company named In Yer Space with whom they performed in the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The show also received an enthusiastic reception. Coleman was awarded the award by the audience for her amazing performance. Coleman was given the part of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while performing in drama school in 2005. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two prizes. She won Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March 2012 press meeting that Coleman will play Matt Smith's companion following Karen Gillan left. Moffat has chosen her for the role as she was the most efficient with Smith and could speak faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her involvement in the field of film since 1987. She has however been more prominent on TV and in films. Eva is known best by her character of her character, Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and the character Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. Eva was nominated for two "Daytime Emmys" in the role she played as well as having the a chance explore her artistic talents. Eva is, in addition to acting, is an entrepreneur and a charity worker. She is a philanthropist and an entrepreneur.
