Ani's customized Alvarez baritone was the result of several meetings we held with Chrys Johnson, who was the representative for artist Alvarez. It features their System 600 amp and is entirely made of solid woods, including an ebony-top cedar body, and sides with an ebony-fretboard. Her home is in New Orleans. There she lives with her husband, kids and her long-legged sidekick Lefty. DiFranco admits that she feels mixed emotions about her past career, which spans three years. Punk/folk singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco attained musical heroine recognition at age 25 in the eyes of both her fans and critics after her seventh studio album Not A Pretty Girl in 1995, and later had a bigger popularity in the year 1996 with Dilate the following year. The single was released in 1972 from the American pop group Looking Glass. Elliot Lurie wrote the song. Lurie is also the musician and vocalist on the album Looking Glass.
